We now live in a world where truth is contorted in so many ways to fit a narrative that belies what we know to be true. My truth, your truth and truth versus facts seems to be the narrative of the modern world. We understand that certain truths are absolute, such as darkness is the absence of light, and cold is simply the absence of heat. Another absolute truth is that this planet was created and is perfectly placed for human life to exist. Why do so many fight the reality of those truths and find themselves unwilling to consider the probability of the truth that everything we have that makes our journey possible is because of God?

As Easter approaches and we who accept the truth, know that our Savior was born, He entered His ministry to teach us of God’s love and finally sacrificed His earthly life to free us from death. This truth is found in the simple fact that the Apostles walked the path given to them by Jesus and despite everything they suffered, they never denied what they knew to be true. They saw their leader, tortured, horribly mistreated and crucified but did not abandon His call to become fishers of men. Who sacrifices themselves for a lie?

There is one simple truth, that God exists, He sent Jesus into the world to free us from death and to provide a path to eternal life. Human beings may want truth to fit their personal narrative, but where God is concerned there is only one truth, to love Him with all our hearts and to love each other as we love ourselves.

In this truth is the knowledge of what will be; paradise awaits those who accept that God exists, and that Jesus is the path.

May this Easter fill you with the joy of knowing the only Truth.
