Heavenly Father,

As we gather around our Thanksgiving tables, surrounded by the love of family and the comfort of friends, we turn to You with hearts full of gratitude for the blessings You have granted us. We are deeply thankful for the joy of being together, the food we have, and the beauty of Your creation.

Today, O Lord, our hearts are drawn to those who once filled the seats beside us, the beloved souls who have journeyed into Your eternal embrace. In their memory, we give thanks for the love they poured into our lives, for the laughter that once echoed through our homes, and for the tender moments that are now precious memories.

Bless these cherished members of our families and communities who rest in the sanctity of our Catholic cemeteries. May they know peace in Your presence, and may we feel the warmth of their love continue to surround us in spirit.

As we break bread in gratitude for the harvest, let us also break open our hearts to the legacy left by those who have passed. May we honor their memory through lives of service, carrying forward the torch of their love to illuminate the paths of kindness and generosity.

Stir in us, O God, a spirit of true thankfulness that transcends our momentary celebrations and leads us into daily acts of love and charity. Help us to see each day as a cherished gift, an opportunity to serve You and to extend Your grace to others in remembrance of those we have loved and lost.

Let our thanksgiving rise to You not only in our words but also through our actions, as we cling to the promise of Christ: “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”
